Baby Mosquito Forceps
A small, fine hemostatic forceps designed for pediatric and delicate procedures, used to clamp small blood vessels or fine tissue during surgery. It is used across hospital, clinic and laboratory settings.
The Baby Mosquito Forceps are a small, fine hemostatic instrument used to clamp and control small blood vessels or delicate tissue during a surgical procedure. Their reduced size compared with standard mosquito forceps makes them particularly suited to paediatric surgery, where the scale of the surgical field and the vessels being managed are smaller than in adult procedures, as well as to any delicate adult procedure that calls for fine, precise clamping rather than a bulkier general purpose hemostat.
The instrument's fine tips allow a surgeon to isolate and secure very small structures accurately, reducing the risk of catching surrounding tissue unintentionally in a confined operative field. As with other locking hemostatic forceps, the ratcheted handle lets the instrument stay clamped in place hands free once applied, freeing the surgeon or assistant to continue working elsewhere in the field.
Built as a reusable stainless steel instrument, it is designed to be sterilised and returned to the surgical set between cases. Baby Mosquito Forceps are used across paediatric surgery, plastic surgery, ophthalmology and other specialties requiring fine, precise haemostatic control.
