Aplicap Capsule Activator for Dental Cement Mixing
A small hand tool that pierces the liquid pouch inside an Aplicap dental capsule, releasing it to mix with the powder before the material is dispensed.
The Aplicap Capsule Activator is a simple chairside tool used in dental practices to prepare Aplicap brand capsules for use. Aplicap capsules hold a dental material, such as a cement or restorative, as two separate components: a powder chamber and a sealed pouch of liquid. Before the material can be mixed and dispensed, the liquid pouch must be released so the two components can combine.
This activator does that job by piercing the pouch inside the capsule, allowing the liquid to flow into contact with the powder so the mix cycle can begin. It is a companion device to the Aplicap Applier, which is used afterward to hold the activated capsule for dispensing onto the tooth or preparation.
Dental assistants and clinicians use this activator as a routine step whenever an Aplicap capsule material is being prepared, and it helps keep capsule handling consistent from one preparation to the next in a busy dental clinic.
