3M V.A.C. Granufoam Silver Antimicrobial Foam Dressing
A negative pressure foam dressing with micro-bonded silver evenly distributed through it, exposing the wound bed to antimicrobial silver even after cutting to size.
C. C. Therapy with the antimicrobial action of silver, aiming to address bioburden concerns in wounds that are also being managed with negative pressure. The foam features micro-bonded silver distributed evenly throughout its structure, rather than only on the surface, which means that even when the clinician trims the foam to fit a specific wound shape and size, the freshly cut internal surfaces of the foam remain exposed to silver rather than losing antimicrobial contact at the cut edges.
This even distribution is a deliberate design choice, since foam dressings are almost always cut down from a standard sheet size to match the individual wound during application. C. Granufoam over the standard black foam specifically when a wound shows signs of infection or heavy bacterial colonisation alongside the exudate management and granulation support that negative pressure therapy provides.
C. Therapy unit to deliver negative pressure to the wound.
