3M Sof-Lex Diamond Polishing Spiral Refill restocks the diamond-impregnated component of the Sof-Lex Diamond Polishing System, a two-step polishing system used by dentists to bring composite and other restorations to a high gloss finish. The diamond-impregnated spiral is used as the final step after a pre-polishing spiral has prepared the restoration surface, delivering the high gloss result the patient wants without the mess of a traditional polishing paste.
Because the polishing medium is embedded directly in the rubberized spiral wheel rather than applied separately, the procedure is cleaner and generally faster than paste-based polishing methods. The rubberized wheel design also adapts to curved and contoured tooth and restoration surfaces more readily than a flat disc can.
This refill is intended for general and cosmetic dental practices that already use the Sof-Lex Diamond Polishing System and need to restock the diamond-impregnated spiral component as it wears down through regular clinical use.
