The 3M Single-Use Pivoting Clipper Blade Assembly, model 9660, is designed to give clinicians better control when clipping hair before a surgical or clinical procedure. The blade pivots to follow the contours of the patient's body, which helps the clipper maintain even contact with the skin across curved or uneven areas rather than requiring the whole handpiece to be repositioned.
Its away-from-skin cutting position is intended to minimise nicks and small cuts during clipping, which supports patient comfort and reduces the risk of skin breaks that could raise infection risk at the surgical site. As a single-use blade, it is discarded after each patient, which helps reduce the risk of cross-contamination between cases compared with a reusable blade.
