Medical Tape 9907 is a single sided elastic nonwoven fabric tape used in the assembly of health care medical devices, particularly those worn on the body for extended periods. It is made from a porous, highly breathable, elastic multilayer polyurethane and synthetic rubber based nonwoven fabric, coated on one side with a melt blown pressure sensitive tackified acrylic adhesive.
The elastic and breathable construction allows the material to stretch and move with the body while still allowing air and moisture vapour to pass through, which supports skin comfort in devices that stay attached for hours at a time, such as wearable sensors or monitoring patches. Because the adhesive is applied to one side only, the reverse fabric surface remains available as a soft, comfortable outer layer.
